The mort Lagoon is one of the most fascinating places in Eraclea Mare

Despite its somewhat unsettling name, it is a place worth visiting. The Mort Lagoon represents the last stretch of the Piave River which, after a flood in 1935, changed its course towards Eraclea and began to cross the current estuary in Cortellazzo.
